WELCOME TO THE NORTHWEST ALLIANCE FOR MEDIA LITERACY

Education

Media in all forms, whether news or entertainment, plays an influential role in shaping our ideas and opinions, and thereby, helps to shape the society in which we live. NW-AML seeks to educate both youth and adults in our community about the ways in which media influences us, as well as how all citizens can be critical media consumers.

Events

Throughout the year, NW-AML hosts events to promote media literacy in the local community. Our interactive presentations educate and equip attendees to thoughtfully critique media for themselves and spread awareness regarding the influence of media on different aspects of our lives.

Whether you are a community leader, educator, media professional, or other community member looking for resources to educate and inform yourself or others about media literacy, NW-AML provides articles, curriculum for different grade levels, speakers you can book and links to other resources.
